Random But Meaningful Realization

As I started to look through the voluminous amount of books in front of my eyes at Powell's in Portland, I came to realize in a new and deeply emotional level I was going to be a parent in the near future. How you might ask? I was looking at children books for the first time not for the students in my classroom, but for my own child! It was something I cannot even put into words. As tears began to form in my eyes the employee at the Information Desk turned to me and said, "I know, it is an amazing thing to behold." I smiled, knowing he met something just a little different, but I kindly replied, "Yes, it does. It definitely does."
